Albums That Should Exist: The Iveys (1967)

Badfinger (The Iveys) - Out of the Cold - Various Songs (1967)
   by Paul
I just posted something that puts all of the Iveys' 1967 officially released songs together:
The Iveys - Out of the Cold
01. I'm Too Shy (Badfinger)
02. Tube Train (Badfinger)
03. She Came Out of the Cold (Badfinger)
04. I've Been There Once Before (Badfinger)
05. Black and White Rainbows (Badfinger)
06. Girl Next-Door in the Miniskirt (Badfinger)
07. Tomorrow Today (Badfinger)
08. Mr. Strangeways (Badfinger)
09. Bittersweet Adieu (Badfinger)
10. How Does It Feel (Badfinger)
11. Taxi (Badfinger)
12. Take Good Care of My Baby (Badfinger)
13. Clown of the Party (Badfinger)
14. Knocking Down Our Home (Badfinger)

As I said there, and someone else has already posted a comment in agreement, those songs actually make up a better album than the 1969 album "Maybe Tomorrow."

[Movie] Annabelle Comes Home (June 26, 2019)

Annabelle Comes Home

Annabelle Comes Home Day After Day
Dan Matovina (June 25, 2019)
Hi, on the use of Badfinger songs in films, I recently negotiated use of both "Day After Day" and "Baby Blue" in a new film just released called "Annabelle Comes Home."
Day After Day” pops up three times, as sort of a record-playing-in-the-background, with one interesting use, as it morphs into a mood-setting motif. “Baby Blue” comes in without a real strong context, but it helps build the tension.

MOVIE REVIEW: 'Annabelle Comes Home' scary but predictable
by Michael Clark Movie Critic  (June 26, 2019)
Rookie writer/director Gary Dauberman wastes our sweet time with repetitive exposition while occasionally tossing in a predictable jump scare and carefully seeing to the well-chosen and semi-obscure '70s soundtrack (which includes two songs by Badfinger).

Film Review: ‘Annabelle Comes Home’
by OWEN GLEIBERMAN  (June 24, 2019)
Gary Dauberman makes clever atmospheric use of Badfinger's 1971 hit “Day After Day,” especially in a moment when he extends the song's piano motif, over and over, turning it into a have-a-nice-day version of “Tubular Bells.”

Annabelle Comes Home plays the Conjuring franchise's greatest hits
by Katie Rife  (June 24, 2019)
Mary Ellen has played Badfinger's “Day After Day” twice, someone must put the plot into motion.

THE SCARIER STRANGER THINGS VIBE ON THE SET OF ANNABELLE COMES HOME
by Adam Pockross  (April 9, 2019)
there are family circle recipes lying around, and a Badfinger album spins on the vintage record player. There's even period correct toys and games, like Sorry, Life, Monopoly, Battleship, Yahtzee, and Tinker Toys.

It's no classic, but ‘Annabelle Comes Home’ gets the job done
by Robert Horton  (June 27, 2019)
Some of the scares are well-earned (there’s a pizza-delivery guy who really nails the landing) and enough quirky ideas to keep things perking along, like the way a Badfinger record starts skipping at an especially suspenseful moment.

Annabelle Comes Home
by Joshua Rothkopf  (June 25, 2019)
She's got a blond babysitter, Mary Ellen (Madison Iseman), who bakes cakes and listens to Badfinger, and, to make the plot more interesting, there's another teenager with a certain fearlessness, Daniela (Katie Sarife), causing her to open the locked chest where the demon doll is contained.

‘Annabelle Comes Home’ Review: An Evil Doll Returns and She's Not Alone
by Jeannette Catsoulis  (June 24, 2019)
Worst of all, the film's early-1970s setting allows it to ruin my once-fond memories of Badfinger's 1971 hit, “Day After Day.”
