Abbey Road Studio Recording Sheet by George Martin July 24 1969
July 24, 1969 (2:30-3:30): The Apple Records band Badfinger (renamed from The Iveys) was tapped to write music for Ringo's movie The Magic Christian and Paul McCartney volunteered to help. A song came to him one night at home which he sketched out on a tape recorder. He went in to the studio this day a little early and laid down a one-man, one-take demo of "Come & Get It," playing guitar, drums, bass, piano, maracas, and singing two vocal tracks. A stereo remix was made and Paul took away the tape to give to Badfinger who would later have a top ten hit with it. Phil McDonald and John Kurlander were the engineers and George Martin has signed documenting that McCartney took a tape.

July 24, 1969 (3:30-10:30):
After Paul's demo, the four Beatles gathered in a marathon session to record a track for Abbey Road, "Here Comes the Sun-King," the working title for the two song medley of "Sun King / Mean Mr. Mustard." In all, there were thirty-five takes with the last being judged the best. Phil McDonald and John Kurlander were the engineers.
