Les Nichol は Les Nicol とか Les Nicholl と表記されていることもあって、はっきりしなかったんだけど、1960年代末期に Methuselah のメンバーでした。 Methuselah は解散後に 2つのグループになり、ひとつは John Gladwin と Terry Wincott の Amazing Blondel 、もうひとつが Les Nichol と Craig Austin の Distant Jim 。 その後は Coast Road Drive とか Leo Sayer に曲を書いたりしているようです。
 
 
Norwegian singer-songwriter の Even Johansen が Magnet という名前で2005年に発表した Hold On という同名曲もあって紛らわしい。
