The original multi-track tapes recently were rediscovered. That paved the way for a newly mixed and mastered official version of Head First to be prepared for release.

Head First features 10 tracks, and includes an extended, almost-two-minute version of the song “Savile Row” that was discovered on the master tapes. The 2000 edition of the album featured a version that was just 36 seconds long.

Bob Jackson, the sole surviving member of the lineup, expressed his excitement: "On behalf of my bandmates - Pete, Tommy, and Mike - I am thrilled to say, 'We did it, guys!' This marks the culmination of a 50-year journey and it's an honor to complete the vision we had all those years ago. The last piece of the puzzle is finally in place."
